Welcome to the Four Year Olds Classroom

In the four year old class one head teacher and two assistants work with fifteen children.  Our goal is to provide a safe, fun environment in which children can learn and be prepared for success in kindergarten.  This class is known as the "Green Room"!

We work on social skills including:

  • Taking turns
  • Cooperating in a group setting
  • Being a good friend to others

We also work on academic skills including:

  • Recognizing the alphabet
  • Printing letters, including each child's name
  • Phonics
  • Developing math skills such as counting and sequencing

We have a strong “learn through play” philosophy which incorporates many books, songs, and games.
