School Operating Budget and Financial Reports

Our school's fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30 of each year. This year it will cost approximately $4,300 per child to run the program. Our annual budget is $111,220 and our greatest need continues to be funds to pay salaries for teachers and aides. The Park Forest United Methodist Church generously provides their church facilities for our classrooms, kitchen and dining area, office, and outside playground.  You can view the last several years of our budgets and year-end financial reports by clicking on the links below.

Because we do not charge families any tuition, we rely entirely on the generosity of individuals, communities of faith, and other charitable organizations, including the Centre County United Way, for funding. To do this important work, we need your financial support.

When you contribute to The Park Forest Day Nursery Preschool, you are joining with many caring individuals who contribute funds, professional medical and dental services, and many volunteer hours. Your contribution will help purchase food for nutritious school meals, classroom and office supplies, and salaries for our dedicated teachers and aides.

Endowment Fund

In addition to our operating fund, the school has an endowment fund.  The fund was established in 1996 with a single generous contribution, and the use of the fund’s assets is governed by the board’s Endowment Fund Agreement. The endowment fund is permanent and the principal is to be held in perpetuity.  Only expendable income generated by this fund can be used for general operating expenses such as teachers’ salaries and classroom supplies.  Contributions to the endowment fund will create enduring benefit for the school.  You may want to consider a contribution in memory of, or in honor of, a loved one.
